Ana Hatherly Faculty Research Grant

Founded in 2017, the Cátedra Ana Hatherly promotes the work of one of the most important and multifaceted Portuguese poets, Ana Hatherly. In this context, Camões, Instituto da Cooperação e da Língua and the Center for Portuguese Studies are pleased to announce a competition for a UC Berkeley faculty research grant in the field of Portuguese Studies (broadly defined) of $1,000. 

Eligibility: All research topics in the field of Portuguese Studies (broadly defined) qualify, but preference will be given to applicants intending to do research relating to Ana Hatherly’s poetry, cinematography, and painting.

Application Instructions

Applicants must submit the following materials:

  1. A one-page application letter, including a 500-word (maximum) summary of the research topic.
  2. A short CV
