Ana Hatherly Faculty Research Grant

Founded in 2017, Cátedra Ana Hatherly promotes the work of one of the most important and multifaceted Portuguese poets, Ana Hatherly. In this context, Camões, Instituto da Cooperação e da Língua and the Center for Portuguese Studies are pleased to announce a competition for 1 research grant of $1000.00 for faculty in the field of Portuguese Studies at UC Berkeley. Preference will be given to applicants doing research on Ana Hatherly’s poetry, cinematography, and painting.

These are one-time grants that may be combined with other Center for Portuguese Studies and IES grants.

Applicants must submit the following materials:

1. A one-page application letter, including a 100-word (maximum) research abstract.

2. A short c.v.

Applications should be sent to ies@berkeley.edu

The deadline for the application is January 22.

Awarded research projects should be announced by February 15.

Grant recipients have until May 3 to submit research papers for publication.
