Are you looking to practice your spoken Modern Greek? Then Στέκι (Steki) aka ‘Greek Table’ is the place for you! Στέκι brings together Modern Greek speakers from all over campus and offers a friendly and casual environment to practice the language. All language skills, proficiency levels, and Greek varieties/dialects are welcome!
Στέκι meets during the academic year on Mondays, 4-5pm at 201 Philosophy Hall. Feel free to drop in for as much or as little as you can each week to enjoy chats over tea and cookies and to meet fellow Greek speakers.
The meetings typically consist of unstructured conversations or discussions stemming from the latest happenings in the Greek-speaking world. We are open, however, to structure individual meetings around specific topics and themes relating to Greek or the Greek-speaking world. Just bring us your suggestions!
