Center for Portuguese Studies - Pinto/Fialon Scholarships and Fellowships

Eligibility: The Pinto/Fialon Scholarships (undergraduate) and Fellowships (graduate) are open to Portuguese-American and Portuguese students at UC Berkeley (Portuguese-American students are defined as being at least 1/4th Portuguese.)  Applications for this scholarship must be submitted on a yearly basis.  

Deadline: The application deadline is May 15th of each year (or the following Monday when the 15th falls on a weekend).

Additional information on grants can be found at the website of the Portuguese Studies Program.

If you checked yes, you do not need to fill out the Portuguese background information or include documentation.However, please fill in GPA and attach a copy of your latest transcript (may be unofficial). Always notify PSP of your new address if you move.

1.  Proof of U.S. or Portuguese citizenship

2.  Finnancial Aid offer letter

3. Verification of Portuguese ancestry (e.g. Birth and marriage certificates of applicable family members.)
