Once a month, the French Studies Program hosts an event entitled "Le Goûter" which means "the snack" or "snack time" in French. French people often eat a goûter after school or work. It can be sweet or savory.
The goal of Le Goûter is to bring together native French speakers and native English speakers for networking and language practice. The entire event is "French only," so participants are encouraged to speak in French and enjoy a snack together.
Le Goûter is sponsored by local French restaurants. The following restaurants have generously donated to our events:
If you are interested in either sponsoring or attending a goûter, or would like to learn more about our events, please contact Mila MacBain, Assistant Director.
