Through the efforts of the Portuguese Studies Program at IES, scholarships covering $4500 of the Program Fee are available to the first thirty eligible University of California, Berkeley students participating in this program. This funding is available to all Berkeley students and is independent of and not contingent upon Financial Aid.

While in Portugal, students are hosted by the University of the Azores on the Island of São Miguel, the University of Porto in the city of Porto, and by the University Lusofona in Lisbon. The course has been developed and will be staffed through a joint collaboration among these Portuguese Universities and the University of California, Berkeley.

For more information, see the Berkeley Summer Sessions webpage devoted to the program.
