New Staff Member Yana Feldman
Assistant to the Director/Title VI Grant
Yana is coming back to Cal after three years
of wandering around in other countries and continents. She
graduated from Cal in 2000 with a degree in chemistry, then decided
to convert to the more qualitative disciplines and spent a year at the London School of Economics studying for
her Master's in International Relations. She had a blast in London,
living there as well as studying, and liked it so much that she
might go back to school and study international politics some more.
Her academic interests include international institutions, Soviet/Russian-U.S.
foreign policy, security studies, arms control and nonproliferation.
She was born in St. Petersburg, Russia and loves to read Russian
classics.
Here at IES Yana is working with Beverly Crawford on the Title
VI Grant and assisting her with her other Associate Director
duties. This position is an excellent opportunity for her to be around
the campus she loves, work with European-related programs and learn
more about grant writing.
