Professor Jost Halfmann
Visiting Scholar
Prof. Dr. Jost Halfmann from the Technical University of Dresden will be our
European Union Visiting Scholar this semester. Professor Halfmann will be directing
a lecture series entitled "Contrasting perspectives of Terrorism: Europe and the
United States." He will also be working on a book manuscript entitled "Bounded
sovereignty in the world polity: The evolution of the German nation-state." Professor
Halfmann has published widely in the field of political sociology and in the field of
the sociology of technology.
