Candace Groskreutz Portrait, Photo by E KotilaCandace Groskreutz joined the Center for British Studies last January after working in publishing at both HarperSanFrancisco and at a literary agency in London for a total of eight years. Having studied Journalism at Berkeley, Candace has also worked with international students at Mills College and with Summer Sessions at UCB before joining IES. With two kids, a dog, and a contractor husband, Candace’s days are filled with concerns ranging from welcoming the latest Cambridge scholar to making sure that the Halloween costumes satisfy her kids’ creative standards. Like all our staff, Candace helps envision, plan, and execute a busy schedule of events on the UK and Ireland, for instance a well-attended conference on Scottish Romanticism earlier this year.
