In this talk, Hill will use the
general concept of her and Gaddy's book
The
Siberian Curse: How Communist Planners Left Russia Out in the
Cold as a
basis for a broader discussion of Russian
economic
and political issues, and what the implcations are for Russia's
relations with the US and Europe. This lecture will be based
on an article written by Hill and Clifford Gaddy for the Brookings
Review.
